IT Search has partnered with a pioneering AI hardware company to appoint a Lead Software Engineer for their Zürich-based team. This organisation is redefining performance at the edge by developing novel computing architectures tailored for advanced AI workloads.

In this role, you will lead a small engineering team responsible for core software components - including embedded drivers, compiler toolchains, and developer APIs - working closely with hardware and AI teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

What you'll bring:

• Strong background in embedded software (e.g. bare-metal, RTOS, low-level drivers)
• Experience building or integrating compilers/model toolchains (e.g. ONNX, TFLite)
• Proficiency in C/C++ (systems-level) and Python (tooling, automation, ML flows)
• Proven ability to lead teams, plan roadmaps, and deliver in R&D-heavy environments

Nice to have:

• Driver development experience on Linux/Windows/embedded platforms
• Exposure to ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch) or compute APIs (OpenCL, DirectML)
