We're Hiring: Lead Software Engineer / Architect (Fintech | SaaS | Cloud | Backend)

Location: Chicago Downtown (4 days onsite)

Are you a technology leader with a passion for architecture, emerging technologies, and building highly scalable systems? We’re working with one of our fast-growing fintech clients to find a Senior Software Architect who can help define and drive the technical vision for their cloud-based Security-Based Lending (SBL) SaaS platform.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to influence the technical roadmap and collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect, design, and guide the development of scalable and secure software solutions
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Participate in high-level design and code reviews
• Drive innovation and excellence across the tech stack
• Continuously improve performance, reliability, and security
• Lead initiatives to address technical debt and modernize components

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of backend software development experience
• Strong expertise in Java with Spring Boot or Python with Pandas
• Experience building Web Service APIs and/or ETL jobs
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda (Python) is a big plus
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) preferred
• Proven experience with unit and integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Git
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s is a plus)
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
