Role overview

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer for our Operator AI product that can take ownership of the development and scale our platform. This is a hands-on operational and leadership role, where you’ll architect solutions, mentor engineers, and work closely with product, design, and AI teams to ship production-grade software that integrates intelligent decision-making, automation, and real-time operator feedback. 

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of the Operator AI platform: backend, APIs, integrations, and frontend. 
• Architect scalable systems that support real-time AI inference, data pipelines, and secure operator interactions. 
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate models and deploy intelligent features. 
• Define and enforce engineering best practices across the team (code quality, testing, CI/CD). 
• Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a high-performance engineering culture. 
• Work closely with product and UX to ensure technical solutions align with business and user needs. 
• Take initiative in identifying system bottlenecks, improving performance, and managing tech debt. 
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to our tech stack. 

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role. 
• Proven track record of architecting and building complex web applications or platforms. 
• Professional experience with the programming languages in our tech-stack: C#, .Net, React.js, Python. 
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure and services, specifically Azure. 
• Experience working with AI/ML-driven products or integrating ML models into production systems. 
• Strong communication and leadership skills. 
• Experience with agile development methodologies and remote collaboration tools. 
• Bonus: experience with real-time data processing, operator tooling, or domain-specific automation systems.

The job is for our office in Gothenburg, Sweden and with a hybrid approach to working from home and being in the office when needed.
