Job Overview A market leading AI community and social media scale up is looking for a lead python engineer to join it’s team in London. Having successfully ran some of the largest AI conferences globally, this business is now utilizing it’s network to build a edtech social media app where the best minds in the business to knowledge share and network. Job Description The Role As a senior / Lead python engineer you will join this business at the early stages of a greenfield platform build. You will work closely with the director of engineering and product to deliver a highly scalable backend of a next generation social media app that will aim to educate ambitious professionals with content from some of brightest minds in tech. You will Provide technical leadership for a team of backend engineers. You will not need to line manage them but provide mentorship from a technical perspective! Define Architecture and help decide on technology choices. Working closely with the frontend team to integrate API’s into client apps. Participate in Code reviews. About You As a senior python engineer for this high growth social media scale up you will have a variety of skills that allow you to be successful in the role. Strong familiarity with Python and associated frameworks. Experience of providing technical leadership. Ability to design and implement data pipeline and API’s from multiple data stores.
