About the role

As a Lead Product Security Engineer at slice, you will drive and lead the Cyber Security program, ensuring our products and infrastructure align with the highest security standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, influencing security strategies while actively protecting our customers and systems from emerging threats.


What You will do

  • Lead the development and execution of the product security roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Mentor and guide security engineers, fostering a culture of security excellence.
  • Influence product development teams to prioritize security as a key aspect of design and development.
  • Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management for our products.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of security requirements and standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide guidance on secure coding practices, architecture reviews, and security testing methodologies.
  • Participate in security training and awareness programs, promoting security best practices among employees.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats and trends, conducting research to evaluate their potential impact on our products.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on product security, assisting in discussions with internal teams and stakeholders.


What you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 5 to 9 years of relevant experience in product security or a related area,
  • Hands on working exp with Burpsuite, SQL Scanner, and other application security tools.
  • Good knowledge on OWASP top ten vulnerabilities.
  • Strong understanding of software security principles, including secure coding practices and secure design principles.
  • Familiarity with security testing tools and methodologies, such as static analysis, dynamic analysis, and penetration testing.
  • Basic knowledge of industry security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Security certifications such as Security+, CEH, or equivalent are a plus.
