We are seeking a Lead PHP Developer to refine legacy products and facilitate the transition to a modern platform.

Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and various stakeholders to deliver impactful results. Responsibilities


  • Analyze and improve the client's legacy product built in PHP
  • Resolve performance, stability, and bottleneck issues, and recommend architectural enhancements
  • Contribute to new feature development and maintain communication with Solution Architects and Product Owners
  • Customize solutions for new client onboarding and incorporate specific client requirements
  • Participate with the EPAM team in enhancing the .NET-based Next Gen Claims Pay product and align with the project roadmap
  • Coordinate effectively with vendors and development teams located in India
  • Strengthen client relationships, particularly with USA-based stakeholders, by showcasing EPAM's capabilities
  • Support the transition of services from Amazon Web Services to Microsoft Azure
  • Evaluate and enhance current architectural approaches by recommending proven practices


Requirements


  • 5+ years of expertise in PHP development, including OPCache/APC, PHP linters
  • 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Background in MySQL with an understanding of transactions and logging processes
  • Proficiency in profiling and refactoring using tools like xDebug and xhprof
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Competency in managing Docker at an intermediate level
  • English proficiency to ensure seamless communication with clients
  • Familiarity with engaging American clients in direct, client-facing roles
