Job Responsibility -

1. Takes up technical tasks and support day to day BAU tasks/Incidents/RFC’s.
2. Supports his/her team during diagnosis when technical issues rise in his/her scope of expertise.
3. Proposes service improvements for all Oracle/EBS services supported throughout the organisation.
4. Provides technical knowledge, supports services both proactively and reactively to maintain the availability and reliability of database system infrastructure in accordance to the SLA.
5. Works in line with policies based on LEAN-CA-CIB best practices.
6. Actively engages during any high severity issue and drives for issue resolution.
7. Reviews technology changes to identify potential risks.
8. Supports his/her team during diagnosis when technical issues rise in his/her scope of expertise.
9. Is aware of the global IT structure so that he/she anticipates interrelationships within the organisation.
10. Engages with technical peer, Development team, Service managers, Architect and project teams on technology roadmap and projects.
11. Facilitates transformation projects and suggest future directions for new areas of improvement and enhancements.
12. Guarantees the production readiness.
13. Is available and able to drive technically, any complex or high severity incidents that occur within the scope of their role.
14. Actively engages to understand new technologies and technology trends and reviews them with a view to incorporate them into Bank operations.

Skills Required -

1. RAC/Exadata/Exacc Administration
2. Knowledge on OCI,DBASS utilities
3. Exacc patching (DOM0,DOMU,GRID,DATABASE)
4. Installation, Upgrade & configuration of Oracle software.
5. Should have knowledge of Oracle RAC installation and configuration & management.
6. Must have Oracle ASM/ACFS implementation skills.
7. Good understanding of UNIX scripts .
8. Expertise on backup utilities like RMAN, EXPDP/IMPDP, and Networker.
9. Good understanding on performance tuning in Oracle database.
10. Should have knowledge of Oracle OEM 12C/13C.
11. Expertise in query fine tuning and troubleshooting.
12. Implement backup and recovery of Oracle DB.
13. Administration over DB Objects including Tables, Clusters, Views, Procedures etc.
14. Good in Impact Analysis of DB
15. Strong experience on configure and troubleshoot physical standby database using dataguard broker.
16. Implement backup and recovery of Oracle databases for various scenarios.
17. In-depth understanding of Advanced Architectures (Multi-Node, RAC, ASM, EXACC).
18. Good understanding of core support processes and change management, maintain documentation standards.
19. Must have experience in Database tuning including I/O, Load Analysis, ADDR, AWR, SQL Profiling etc.
20. Responsible for installation, upgrades (Database, EXACC and RAC), patches, SR support, database tuning.
21. Capable of delivering under critical environment pressure, resolve complex production issues & provide support when required.
22. Proven track record for BAU tasks.
23. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
24. Independent and strong team player with good inter-personal skills.

2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Oracle
3. The candidate should have worked in a SLA driven environment.
4. Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented and constantly changing environment.
5. Good Oral and Written communication skills.
6. Basic knowledge on shell/Python scripting.
7. Having Oracle RAC/OCI certification will be added advantage.
8. Having previous banking BAU support will be added advantage.

Educational Qualifications -

1. Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Information/Computer technology preferred.
