YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the candidate will be required to perform tasks related to the operation of the casting head and its adjustment according to the finished product. He will participate in the maintenance of the casting head and its mechanical components. The candidate will actively collaborate with the R&D laboratory in the testing of new formulations.

Operate the casting head;
Assist in the operation of the unwinder on an ad hoc basis;
Modify the formulations according to the defects to be corrected in the panel;
Collaborate with the Production Team Leader to achieve objectives and perform tasks during his/her absence;
Control the inventory of bulk and early raw materials;
Communicate raw material orders to the Team Leader;
Collaborate with the quality laboratory during pre-production tests;
Document key production factors for monitoring and improving activities;
Consult the computer-aided production management system (CAPM) (Fill in kinetic tests, consult tolerances, read the schedule correctly, general consultation);
Support the Team Leader in production activities and the maintenance team in the implementation of the preventive maintenance plan;
Ensure that workplaces meet Soprema’s cleanliness and safety standards;
Perform all other related tasks;
Suggest any measures aimed at improving production activities and occupational health/safety.

Academic :
High school diploma
Knowledge :
Hazardous materials handling courses (an asset);
HAZMAT Spill Course (an asset);
CAPM software: AS 400 (an asset);
Consultation and understanding of MSDSs;
Driving a forklift (an asset);
Health and Safety Standards;
Experience in a manufacturing plant (an asset).

Working conditions :
Handling of hazardous products;
Mandatory wearing of cartridge masks, gloves and “blankets” depending on the work area;
