About The Team
The Cloud Team is a team of experts dedicated to delivering outstanding services and ensuring high-quality services for the Manhattan Distribution Management solution hosted on Cloud platforms. Currently consisting of 40+ members, comprised of experienced technical specialists and Program managers, they utilize their extensive knowledge to optimize Distribution Management workflows and deliver quality services.
With their global presence and unwavering commitment to excellence, the team provides personalized support and fosters success for clients in the fiercely competitive industry.
Position Description
- System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain systems to ensure optimal performance and availability. Perform code deployments, regular updates, patches, and backups.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues in a timely manner. Provide technical support to other teams and stakeholders.
- Automation and Optimization: Automate system processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Implement optimizations to enhance system performance and reduce costs.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure systems comply with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement security measures to protect systems and data.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
Position Requirements
- BE/BTech degree of higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or Computer Applications or technical certifications in field of experience
- Technical skills: UNIX/Linux, fair Cloud skills in production set up, ideally should have worked in Application production set up
- Experience of 24/7 live production set up, handling shifts - ability to prioritize and escalate things when needed
- Good communication - need to manage communication with Senior leaders when needed ability to work across teams - CSO, R&D, MRE teams and get things resolved
- 4+ years’ experience with cloud environments like AWS, GCP etc.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Chef or an equivalent
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and container technology (experience with Docker is required)
- Experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use elastic search )
- A working understanding of code and script (Python )
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Required to work 24/7 shifts
