Job Description:

Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting and advancing a hybrid network architecture with both on-premise and cloud-based resources.

• Location: Palo Alto, California or San Jose, California
• Travel: Up to 20% travel to other sites

Key Responsibilities

• Firewall Implementation & Support – Build, implement, and support firewalls and other network security devices.
• Firewall Policy Management – Add, modify, and maintain firewall policies in alignment with cybersecurity policy.
• Configuration & Compliance Monitoring – Develop and utilize centralized configuration tools for monitoring and reporting compliance.
• Security Process Improvements – Implement security improvements in collaboration with Network Security personnel.
• Vulnerability Analysis & Remediation – Collaborate with Cyber teams to analyze automated vulnerability reports and ensure necessary remediations.
• WAN Infrastructure Support – Oversee point-to-point and multi-point WAN connectivity, leased lines, and VPN links for customers and remote sites.
• LAN Infrastructure Support – Manage LAN infrastructure across data centers, branch offices, and critical operations centers.

Minimum Requirements

• 8+ years experience administering LANs and WANs (data, voice) in high-uptime environments.
• Strong knowledge of data/IP networking and protocols (VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, OSPF, GRE, TCP, FTP, DNS).
• 5+ years experience with:
• Palo Alto Networks firewalls
• Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Experience with network security issues and solutions.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale monitoring environments.
• Strong communication skills (including SOPs, maintenance plans, and network diagrams).
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Client-focused approach.
• On-call rotation participation; minimum onsite requirement of 3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
• Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls
• Palo Alto Networks firewalls
• Zabbix or other monitoring tools
• Amazon VPCs, TGWs, DXGWs
• Centralized DNS/DHCP solutions
• Network automation
• Wireless technologies and load balancers
