Job Description:

Immediate need for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to help lead the Princeton, New Jersey office. This individual will be the second-in-command, Mechanical Technical Lead. The main responsibility will be to design heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air-conditioning, building automation, and controls. In-person office – WFH hybrid on Fridays.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead all mechanical engineering and design tasks out of the Princeton office.
  • Mentor Junior Engineers as well as act as client liaison.
  • Hands-on ability to prepare of all Mechanical engineering contract drawings in relation to building design – This is a hands-on managerial position.
  • Lead the design of all HVAC as well as water distribution, ventilation, and building automation systems.
  • Perform system design calculations, load calculations and energy modeling.
  • Selection of equipment used in building systems.
  • Coordinate work with other engineering disciplines, review RFIs, Submittals, and SHOP drawings.


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 + years professional experience in HVAC Engineering and Design
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager and Lead Engineer
  • Knowledge of state and local codes
  • PE license preferred but NOT required. or on the road to a PE license.
  • Previous design experience with an AE, fire protection firm or MEP engineering firm
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to thoroughly communicate thoughts and technical ideas.

Education:

Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college


PE desired but not required. Should be on the road to licensure
