Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering Expertise:

• Proven experience in designing mechanical systems for infrastructure projects such as pumping stations, water/wastewater treatment plants, tunnels, district cooling piping networks, and gas distribution networks.
• Solid technical background in building services design, with hands-on experience in HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing systems.
• Skilled in mechanical equipment selection, including AHUs, FCUs, split systems, fans, pumps, and chilled water accessories.
• Proficient in domestic hot and cold-water system design, drainage and storm drain systems, and firefighting systems (e.g., sprinkler, standpipes, portable extinguishers, clean agent systems).
• Strong capability in duct and piping sizing, system layout planning, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Technical Documentation & Standards:

• Competent in preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports in compliance with industry standards and local codes.
• Knowledgeable in major international standards and codes including ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASPE, NFPA, NPC, and relevant local regulations.
• High proficiency in BIM and Revit modeling for mechanical systems.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and supervise junior engineers.
• Effective in following up on project progress, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and coordinating with senior engineers or design unit heads.
• Experienced in participating in client meetings and representing the mechanical design team professionally.
• Excellent interdisciplinary collaboration skills to integrate mechanical solutions into complex project designs.

Problem Solving & Innovation:

• Strong problem-solving ability to identify and resolve design and construction challenges with innovative, risk-mitigating solutions.
• Keeps pace with industry advancements and adopts cutting-edge technologies to optimize system performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Power Engineering from a reputable university.

Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in mechanical building services engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in engineering design and analysis software.
• Strong expertise in BIM and Revit.
• Familiarity with simulation tools and multidisciplinary coordination.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present and explain technical concepts.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, oversee project progress, and coordinate effectively within the design unit and with senior leadership.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and maintain high standards of accuracy.
