Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am 5pm

Salary:£50,000 + LVAP training

About The Role

I am seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join my clients team, to be based at a site in Hitchin. In this role, you will primarily oversee maintenance tasks across this large critical complex of buildings. You will spend a mixture of your day focusing on leadership & seniority duties, with the flexibility in performing hands-on PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance tasks on M&E and building systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day activities within the engineering team and contractors, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Perform your personal PPM and reactive maintenance tasks as required, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor and track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds contract requirements.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met, taking proactive measures to address any issues.
  • Manage and enforce RAMs (Risk Assessment Method Statements) and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standards and within compliance guidelines.

Requirements

  • Clearance checks
  • Proven experience in a similar M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) maintenance leadership role.
  • City & Guilds /NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Electrical Installation
  • Knowledge of PPM/reactive maintenance of M&E systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
