Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Machinist - CNC Lathes located in Boylston, MA. The Lead Machinist will oversee daily operations related to CNC lathe machining, including setting up and operating CNC lathes, inspecting parts, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality standards. Additional responsibilities include mentoring junior machinists, maintaining equipment, and optimizing machining processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

• Proficiency in setting up, operating, and programming CNC lathes
• Experience in inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to mentor and train junior machinists
• Experience in maintaining and optimizing machining equipment
• Good understanding of lean manufacturing practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role is a plus
• Relevant technical certifications or a degree in a related field are beneficial
