Job Title: Lead Learning & OD (Associate Director)
Department: People and Culture
Location: Gurugram
Reporting into: Head of Corporate Affairs and Strategy
Job Summary
Lead Learning & OD will be responsible for driving strategic learning initiatives, fostering employee growth, and ensuring our L&D frameworks align with organization goals. The role required expertise in performance-driven training models, digital learning tools, and competency frameworks. Ideal candidate should have team management experience and proven expertise in designing & delivering impactful learning programs and upskilling initiatives across various levels of leadership and functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Learning Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead organization-wide training needs assessments to identify learning gaps
- Lead and manage organization-wide learning calendars aligned with business needs and performance goals
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with Business Leaders & HRBP to identify capability gaps and align learning solutions with organizational
priorities
- Collaborate with trainers, vendors, LMS providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of the L&D strategy.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on talent development initiatives
- Coaching & Talent Development:
- Design and manage individual development plans (IDPs) for senior leaders
- Provide coaching and mentorship to key talent, supporting career development
- Oversee succession planning, identifying key leadership roles and ensuring that talent pipelines are robust and diverse
- Digital Learning Platform:
- Introduce new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the learning experience
- Establish a scalable, intelligent LMS platform that supports workforce learning needs efficiently
- Drive the adoption of learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms
- Operational Excellence:
- Lead end-to-end execution of L&D programs, including planning, scheduling, and reporting
- Develop and manage the L&D budget with a focus on cost-effectiveness and high ROI
- Build strong partnerships with training vendors to increase ROI of interventions
- Functional Leadership:
- Lead and develop a team of L&D professionals
- Mentor team members to excel in program design and implementation
- Program Design & Delivery:
- Design and deliver tailored programs, including onboarding, technical, soft skills, and leadership development, with
targeted individual and group interventions
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to customize programs that address specific team and individual needs
- Learning Analytics & Impact Measurement:
- Define metrics to assess the effectiveness of L&D programs
- Continuously evaluate and improve initiatives to enhance learning outcomes
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Strong facilitation, communication, and coaching skills
- Experience in setting up digital learning platforms (LMS) for scalable training delivery
- Proven expertise in organization wide program management
- Growth mindset, problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Work Experience:
- 12 to 15 years of experience in Learning & Development with a focus on strategy, functional training, program delivery, and Digital Learning platforms
Education:
- Post-graduation in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field from premier institute. Advanced certifications in L&D are a plus
- Holding a TTT (Train the Trainer) certification would be an added advantage.
