About The Role

This Leader and Java Developer is based out of our beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina Development Center and is open to Hybrid work options but will require time in the office. You will have the opportunity to work with our Global Team to provide quality services to external managed service clients as well as internal business units. This job will offer you opportunities to show your Java and Flutter expertise and work in diverse environments and be responsible for the provision of system support across multiple domains, design/quote/delivery projects as well as consulting and pre-sales opportunities. You will individually or within a team on software product consulting projects to meet specific customer requirements. May include support, maintenance, and administration or working directly with the client, providing technical direction and guidance to the delivery team and take responsibility for project deliverables through all phases of the SDLC.

About You

• You will have a minimum background that includes at least 5 - 7 years experience in or multiple of the following languages: Java, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Flutter along with working knowledge of IntelliJ or similar IDEs. A strong Java and Flutter skillset is an essential part of your development background.
• You have strong knowledge of Database Development and proficient working with Oracle Databases, PL/SQL, SQL and performance tuning including working knowledge of Oracle IDEs or similar experience with GIT, SourceTree or similar source management tool sets.
• You are comfortable with CORE Process Development including experienced in or multiple of the following languages: C, ProC, Cobol, GO, Python and highly proficient on Linux operating systems.
• You have a passion for software development and working in a modern software development business which is customer centric with proven, hands-on experience working with Agile Scrum teams.
• Your educational background is in Software programming, Computer Science or Engineering, and you have a minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design, development, testing and deployment skills backed up by professional level English communication skills.
• Your are interested in Supervisor / leading small teams and bring valuable leadership experience in the utility/energy industry including exposure to Automation Testing, intimate knowledge of SDLC and development methodologies
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• You will work closely with Develop Technical Specifications documents with the design and programming of agreed developments/modifications to the system while assisting other developers in the design of their components including mentoring other developers to advise on best practices, quality, and coding standards.
• You assist other business units inside Hansen with cross business unit architectural decisions and collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure understanding of client’s requirements including unit testing of code and quality assurance of system or resolving issues relating to the integration of project deliverables.
• You provide direction on system promotions to existing and new customers and can include ensuring established standards and procedures are followed at all times or diagnosing and correcting system defects or identifying situations where the system must be customized to meet client requirements.
• You lead and prepare estimates of the labor hours and calendar time required to implement proposed changes to the software or correct root causes of operational problems, accurately estimate time frames required to complete assigned tasks, provide risk assessments for component creation or modifications and drive performance tuning of code and/or database application components.
• Additionally this senior application developer will assist the Software Development Manager with planning activities and leading scrum teams in an Agile environment and will use your strong English communication skills to accurately provide updates to clients and development team members.
