We are on the hunt for a Lead Java Developer to collaborate with our cross-functional scrum team in a specialized business capability POD.
The selected individual will demonstrate expertise in Java and Spring Framework, contributing significantly to building backend solutions that optimize our business operations.
Responsibilities
Design solutions for enhancing the Java codebase
Improve back-end microservices and REST APIs
Perform unit testing to ensure software reliability
Sustain high-quality code through regular reviews
Promote practices such as unit testing, code review, and continuous integration
Participate in SCRUM ceremonies to facilitate team collaboration
Engage in planning and estimation sessions to achieve alignment with project objectives
Offer mentorship and guidance to teammates
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of development experience
Over 1 year of relevant leadership experience
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
Competency in API construction and understanding microservices architecture
Background in financial services, ideally in wealth management, though not mandatory
Showcase of excellent English communication skills (written and spoken at C1 level)
Nice to have
Knowledge of standards widely adopted in financial services
