Summary

Job Title: Lead Java developers (x3).

Location: Canberra, ACT.

Initial contract duration: 12 months with high possibility of extension.

Hybrid engagement.

Must hold active Baseline security clearance.


Job details

NTT is looking for experienced Java developer to join our digital transformation program of work. The developers are expected to build high quality, well-tested software and sites according to architecture standards and best practice guidelines. They are required to work under limited direction within an Agile Scrum Team as part of a large program of work and be responsible for software development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, and maintain applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Work collaboratively within a scrum team in defining and implementing quality solutions.
  • Contribute to the planning, documenting, and management of assigned deliverables via DevOps.
  • Maintain sound knowledge and continue to embrace DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, understand requirements, manage technical risks and issues, and showcase work.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of technical and systems improvement initiatives.
  • Participate and contribute to relevant Communities of Practice across the Agile Release Train.


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a developer working in a multi-disciplinary scrum team.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related disciplines.
  • Experience in Java.
  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Azure, Git, DevOps pipeline deployment.
  • Experience with test development and tools (i.e., xUnit).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (i.e., SAFe, Scrum, Lean, Kanban).
  • High level of proficiency with Azure DevOps and Miro.
  • Execute product delivery and follow ways of working in line with the Scaled Agile Framework, Digital Service Standard, Scrum, and Kanban.
