Lead Internal Auditor

Salary: £57,000-£66,000 + 20% Bonus

Astrum Search is working with a nationally recognised transportation business to recruit a Lead Internal Auditor into their growing in-house team.

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you will be involved in planning and delivering a host of complex audits. You will get great exposure across the business and will have significant interaction with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach the audit team under the guidance of the Audit Manager.
• Develop and execute complex audit programs, including drafting Terms of Reference (ToR), audit plans, and reports.
• Validate the team's work to ensure alignment with audit objectives.
• Build collaborative relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.

Skills & Experience:

• Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, IIA) or equivalent operational experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
• Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead effectively and work as part of a team.
