Job Summary:
The Lead Interior Design Fit-Out Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all interior development phases and finishes, working closely with the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) team of over 80 site professionals. Reporting to the Project Management Consultant (PMC) and the Client, you will ensure the project’s interior spaces meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and design integrity. This role requires a strategic leader with the expertise to execute a vision, manage resources, and deliver outstanding results within set timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Lead all phases of interior fit-out projects, from initial planning to final handover, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure the seamless integration of aesthetic, functional, and structural elements.
• Design and Aesthetic Oversight: Oversee the execution of high-quality interior finishes that reflect the heritage project’s traditional Najdi design principles, while meeting LEED sustainability standards. Ensure that design specifications are precisely followed, maintaining a balance between cultural authenticity and modern design standards.
• Budget and Resource Management: Develop and oversee budgets, schedules, and resource plans to optimize efficiency and minimize project risks. Collaborate with financial teams to monitor cost control measures and ensure transparency in budget reporting.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Guarantee adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and quality standards throughout the fit-out process. Implement quality control inspections, addressing any discrepancies with immediate corrective actions.
• Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, maintaining transparency on project progress and addressing concerns proactively. Work closely with the PMC and Client representatives to align the project with their vision and objectives.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the interior fit-out team, ensuring high morale and efficient performance. Conduct regular reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive team development and alignment with project goals.
Key Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. An advanced degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in managing large-scale interior fit-out projects, with at least 10 years on projects of similar scope and 5 years within the GCC region. Proven track record in leading projects with high aesthetic and functional standards, especially in culturally significant or high-profile developments.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in project management, budgeting, scheduling, and LEED certification processes. Proficient understanding of interior design principles, sustainable construction practices, and fit-out procedures. Strong knowledge of industry-standard software for project management and design (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset. Problem-solving acumen with the ability to handle complex challenges and make informed decisions quickly. Strong organizational abilities, ensuring all aspects of the fit-out are meticulously planned and executed.
