Summary

Exact programs dates can be found on the Language Training Center web site: https://www.concordialanguagevillages.org/language-training-center Number Of Months: Each LTC course is 15-19 days in length, including staff on-site staff planning and prep days Number of Hours per week: 48-56 General Work Schedule (days of week): Sunday through Saturday General shift hours: As needed, but generally 9 hours/day between 7:30 AM and 9 PM. This position also requires 20-40 hours of preparation before each course, compensation for which is included in the gross amount noted in the employment offer. Job Summary: The Lead Instructor of a Concordia Language Villages (CLV) Language Training Center (LTC) program is responsible for the development and implementation of a language-specific, two- and three-week-long residential iso-immersion program in accordance with client-specified expectations. This includes planning and implementation the program curriculum, assisting with staff recruitment and interviewing, budget/expense tracking, some public relations, and interacting with the support staff from operations support areas at the Language Villages. This position is responsible for implementing a program that reflects the mission and immersion methodology of Concordia Language Villages, meets client expectations, all within the parameters of the Concordia LTC model. The lead instructor reports to the LTC director and associate director, is responsible for managing the instructional team as a cohesive, collaborative team, and interfaces with the CLV administrative team as a whole. The minimum pay is $1,750/week and includes compensation for pre-arrival planning and preparations. The gross employment offer will also include compensation to attend a fall and spring workshop in September 2019 (Bemidji, Minn.) and March 2020 (Chaska Minn.) respectively. Airline travel or mileage expenses related to getting to the training course in Bemidji, Minnesota, will also be covered or reimbursed. Additional expenses incurred during the travel to and from the training facility are the responsibility of the employee (including baggage fees, taxi fares, Uber charges, meals, etc.)
