Join a top-tier investment firm specialising in alternative asset management as a key player in their technical team as an Application Security Engineer, where you’ll help shape the future of security as the company continues to grow and innovate.

In this role, you’ll design, implement, and maintain critical security measures, ensuring a strong defense across their systems. Your technical expertise will be essential in troubleshooting, collaborating with IT and business units, and leading security initiatives.

You’ll focus on keeping our clients' network, email, and endpoints secure, while also managing vulnerabilities and exploring cutting-edge solutions for future threats. You will play a key role in cloud security, ensuring their infrastructure and applications remain secure as they expand into AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Security: Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and other security tools to monitor and defend against threats.

• Email Security: Safeguard against phishing, malware, and other email-based risks.

• Endpoint Security: Deploy and maintain antivirus, EDR, and other endpoint protections.

• Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular scans, assessments, and collaborate on remediation.

• Cloud Security: Secure cloud environments and infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience in networking, infrastructure, or security.
• Strong knowledge of modern infrastructure, network protocols, encryption, applied cryptography, and attack vectors against modern companies
• Experience with cloud platforms, firewall technologies, and vulnerability management.
• A team player with strong communication, coding, and problem-solving skills.
• A strong innovative mindset, with experience working across a multi-location team
• Ideally experience in investment management, banking or a similar domain, but not essential
