We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP BODS Data Engineer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) and have a strong background in Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), ETL development, and data integration. This role involves end-to-end ownership of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement robust ETL solutions using SAP BODS.
Build and maintain data integration workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Develop jobs, data flows, scripts, and transformations within SAP BODS.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
Extract, transform, and load data from various source systems to target EDW environments.
Optimize ETL processes and troubleshoot performance issues.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across platforms.
Required Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development using SAP BODS.
Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL concepts, and data integration best practices.
Proficient in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
Experience with data modeling and working with different database systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with other ETL or data integration tools.
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms or migration projects.
Knowledge of performance tuning and data quality frameworks.
