The Lead Field Service Engineer will provide critical technical expertise and hands-on support for power conversion systems, including drives, automation systems, rotating machines, and auxiliary equipment. This role focuses on supporting U.S. Navy customers by performing troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and system upgrades while driving customer satisfaction, on-time delivery (OTD), and service growth. The role reports to the Field Service Engineering Manager (Government Services) and is instrumental in managing service work items and supporting field teams.
Lead Field Service Engineer Responsibilities
Lead and support field service activities for power conversion equipment, including troubleshooting, repairs, system maintenance, and commissioning.
Provide technical support for equipment startups, installations, and scheduled outages.
Collaborate directly with customer teams (Operations, Engineering, Training, Purchasing) to resolve technical issues, maximize system availability, and improve overall service delivery.
Manage customer-facing initiatives to enhance relationships and improve project profitability.
Interface with internal teams (Engineering, Parts, Repairs, Projects) to coordinate issue resolution using best practices and standardized processes.
Document product issues and provide feedback to internal engineering and quality teams, highlighting recurring problems and contributing to continuous improvement.
