Meet the team behind this journey

At DeepL, our events strategy is evolving to better reach customers and prospects where they are—whether that's through first-party experiences or third-party conferences. You’ll be joining the team that shapes and delivers our global events calendar, playing a key role in how we show up around the world.

We're looking for a Lead Events Manager to join us, with a primary focus on DeepL Dialogues, our annual customer conference. Now entering its second year, DeepL Dialogues brings together business leaders, language innovators, and AI experts to explore the future of Language AI and its impact on global communication.

Reporting to the Director of Field Marketing, the Lead Events Manager will be responsible for creating world-class event experiences that engage decision-makers and drive impact throughout the buyer journey. This is a highly collaborative role requiring partnership across Revenue, Product, Marketing Ops, and our Creative Studio.

Your Responsibilities

  • Co-Create the Events Strategy: Partner with Field Marketing to help build a global events strategy that supports brand awareness, pipeline generation, and customer engagement.
  • DeepL Dialogues: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of our flagship customer conference, ensuring a compelling experience for attendees and measurable business impact.
  • Drive Third-Party Event Presence: Collaborate with regional teams and Demand Gen to identify high-impact third-party events and align on goals, messaging, and execution.
  • Budget Planning with Transparency: Partner with Finance to manage budgets collaboratively, prioritize resources effectively, and ensure maximum ROI.
  • Partner on Venue & Vendor Management: Coordinate with Procurement, Legal, and regional teams to secure venues and vendors, ensuring contracts and logistics meet business and compliance needs.
  • Curate Content with Stakeholders: Work closely with Product, Content, and Creative studio to identify speakers and build compelling, audience-first agendas that reflect our brand and thought leadership.
  • Amplify Through Integrated Promotion: Collaborate with channel owners—email, paid, organic, and PR—to build cohesive campaigns that drive registration, engagement, and amplification.
  • Measure & Share Success: In partnership with Marketing Ops, define key metrics, evaluate event performance, and share insights that help improve future programs.
  • Enable and Elevate Teams: Support local field marketers, SDRs, and AEs to ensure they have the tools, messaging, and enablement to activate around events successfully.
  • Foster Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as a connector across teams—ensuring our event efforts are transparent, inclusive, and tied to larger company priorities.

Qualities we look for

  • Experienced Events Leader with Production Expertise: Proven track record in B2B SaaS, particularly in high-growth, scale-up environments. Deep understanding of end-to-end event production—including content, operations, creative, and logistics—and experience managing complex projects with external agencies to deliver high-quality, on-brand experiences.
  • Growth Mindset: Embraces change, adapts quickly, and thrives in environments where not everything is figured out yet. You’re energized by solving problems and building structure where there is none.
  • Data-Driven Decision Maker: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaborator: Excellent communicator and listener, with a collaborative mindset and ability to influence across teams and seniority levels—including Sales, Product, and Executive Leadership.
  • Master Organizer & Project Manager: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Humble & Hands-On: Practical, proactive, and willing to roll up your sleeves. You're focused on outcomes over ego and value progress over perfection.
  • Strategic Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of complex B2B buying cycles and how to tailor events for different decision-maker roles. Experience linking self-serve and assisted-sales motions is a plus.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid work, flexible hours: we offer a hybrid work schedule, with team members coming into the office twice a week. This allows you to engage directly with your team and experience the unique energy of our workspace, while still enjoying the flexibility and comfort of working from home. With flexible working hours and trust in your productivity, we are in sync with your team’s general locations and time zones to foster effective and seamless collaboration.
  • Regular in-person team events: we bond over vibrant events that are as unique as our team, from local team and business unit gatherings, to new-joiner onboardings, to company-wide events that bring us all together–literally.
  • Monthly full-day hacking sessions: every month, we have Hack Fridays, where you can spend your time diving into a project you're passionate about and get the opportunity to work with other teams–we value your initiatives, impact, and creativity.
  • 30 days of annual leave: we value your peace of mind. With 30 days off (excluding public holidays) and access to mental health resources, we make sure you're as strong mentally as you are professionally.
  • Competitive benefits: just as our team spans the globe, so does our benefits package. We've crafted it to reflect the diversity of our team and tailored it to align with your unique location, to ensure you feel supported every step of the way.

If this role and our mission resonate with you, but you're hesitant because you don't check all the boxes, don't let that hold you back. At DeepL, it's all about the value you bring and the growth we can foster together. Go ahead, apply—let's discover your potential together. We can't wait to meet you!

We are an equal opportunity employer

You are welcome at DeepL for who you are—we appreciate authenticity here. Our product is for everyone, and so is our workplace. The more voices we have represented and amplified in our business, the more we will all succeed, contribute, and think forward! So bring us your personal experience, your perspectives, and your background. It’s in our diversity that we will find the power to break down language barriers in the world.
