Job Description / Responsibilities
Preparation of instrument design documents like Instrument Index, Specification Sheet, Hook-up drawing, Block & Control diagrams Cable schedule, review Control Philosophy, Cause and effect index, Loop Drawing And bill of materials.
Knowledge of international standards like IEC, API, ASME, Indian standard, DIN.
Preparation of Logic Diagram; control Philosophy. P&ID s
Preparation of I/O Lists, Hook up Drawings, Field wiring diagrams, Control systems, logic diagrams, installation wiring diagrams,
Knowledge of PLC systems, Ladder Logics, automation, various communication protocols (CANBUS, MODBUS, PROFIBUS…), SCADA etc.
Knowledge of various type of valves, limit switch, sensors selections remote operation, integration with alarm and monitoring systems.
Should have knowledge of marine electrical power systems, power Single line diagrams, battery, short circuit calculations, cable ladder layouts, cable selections, cable length estimations etc.
Verification of vendor supplied hook-up drawings, termination drawings.
Desired profile of the candidate
Candidates having experience in shipyard or design office of marine/offshore consulting engineering companies will be ideal.
Good knowledge of ship design practice, class rule requirement, general practice/codes of marine & offshore is desired.
Good communication skills are essential.
