At IPS, you’ll apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people, solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities. We are looking for a dedicated Lead Engineer / Lead Manager for Piping & Utilities Department, to join our team at our office located in New Delhi.

In this role, you will work on various projects as assigned by a Project Manager. You will play a role in the entire design process, including but not limited to: preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, and problem resolution.

What You'll Do

• Develop design concepts; prepare documents during design development phase.
• Correct and update design documents.
• Prepare the list of project deliverables.
• Co-ordinate with other discipline for necessary drawings.
• Plan for mechanical deliverables such as equipment layout, piping layout, pipe rack layout, tender doc etc.
• Mechanical Tender Document.
• Prepare technical specification of Utility and process equipments.
• Send enquiry for utility as well process equipment.
• Release Technical Bid Analyses and bolting layouts.
• Conduct site visits to understand project issues and resolve them.
• Train junior engineers.
• Ensure acceptable levels of quality and check for coordination of work to ensure documents reflect design intent and necessary coordination.
• Coordinate design work with related engineering disciplines.
• Attend job and construction meetings and participate in the coordination of the work.
• Research non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officials.
• Support field installation and start-up activities.
• Provide limited contribution to performance reviews for assigned staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 15+ years of previous experience (preferrably in Pharma/Life Sciences industry).
• Is proficient in the use of computers for design and understands CAD operations.
• Understanding and knowledge of applicable codes.
• Proven time management skills to juggle more than one project at a time.
• Customer Service experience exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Process industrial experience, especially in the Life Sciences industries.
• Is able to do costing for mechanical equipments and piping.
• A Technical or associate degree from an accredited technical institution or college.
