LEAD EMBEDDED ENGINEER – AEROSPACE SOFTWARE V&V COE
Lead Embedded Engineer is a global V&V technical leadership position placed at HTS-Madurai/BLR/HYD. The person will be responsible for technical leadership for one or more Product lines in Aerospace Software V&V COE. The selected candidate is responsible for providing technical leadership, and strategic direction for meeting the strap goals of software V&V organization. This role will require coordination and collaboration across several functional teams, program management, engineering, certification, applications, and OEM customer. (70% - 80% of time)
Business & Strategic
Provide technical leadership, and strategic direction for meeting the strap goals to the software V&V organization.
Analyze competitive products and technologies and makes appropriate suggestions (may use demos, POCs) to influence product / technology direction/innovation.
Maintain a "big and complete" picture view of the product, its dependencies, organizational goals, technology arena, etc. And helps guide and direct the functioning of the software V&V organization appropriately..
TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP:.
Lead development of test architectures, test environment, test tools and test methodologies for the ongoing and upcoming programs. Deliver to the schedule within cost and timelines.
Responsible to drive the simulation, test design and execution automation strategies to reduce the test development cost and cycle time.
Responsible for technical decision on test architecture, test methodologies tradeoffs/decisions/constraints and collaborate with the PI, OEMs and certification authorities for the approvals as needed
Drive test approaches and test tools to meet commonality & reuse strategies to reduce the reapplication cost
Responsible for driving quality focus and synergize the practices to achieve exceptional quality work products across programs.
Drive common test methodologies across programs – for the objectives of DO-178B/C(DO-331/332/330) and address the objectives based on level of program.
Review and support the SVP, PSAC planning documents and SVCP/SVR/SAS cert documents.
Collaboration And Communication
Interface with development team or system team to understand the system/software architecture and design
Support CDR/PDR/Verification compliance audits to support test strategy approaches
Mentor and train senior experienced engineers on various types of testing.
Provide technical guidance during estimation process
Interact with cert authorities/OEM for the approval of test methodologies/approaches.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in engineering with minimum 10 years of experience in software development/verification.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Avionics/Controllers product lines for application/platform systems/software V&V or software design.
Hands on experience in development of test environment and testing tools like Vector Cast, Vector Cover, or any structural coverage tools.
Experience in development/testing of embedded applications with hand on experience in communication protocols.
