About the Role:

The Engineer will be responsible for designing and delivering secure and highly available solutions. You will be a critical part of a team focused on ensuring our services are ready and stress tested. You should be comfortable taking on new challenges, defining potential solutions and implementing designs in a team environment. You will be working on a tech stack composed of NodeJS, AWS, CICD pipeline, Python, Linux, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Github.  

Key Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in J2EE, NextJS, AWS, CloudFormation, Python, Django, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline development.
• 6+ years of expertise with AWS CodePipeline, including infrastructure provisioning and configuration across both data center and cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Redshift, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail, including integrations within the AWS ecosysteP
• Proficient in AWS ECS / Fargate services.
• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, build, and release management, ensuring efficient delivery.
• 4+ years of experience in containerization using Docker.
• Strong scripting skills in Linux, Shell/Bash, and Python.
• AWS DevOps or AWS Solutions Architect certification (preferred).
• Comprehensive understanding of the application deployment process, infrastructure design, and capacity planning.
• Deep knowledge of Agile practices and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab.
• Ability to collaborate closely with infrastructure, networking, and development teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Availability to overlap with PST time zone as required.
• Experience with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.

Good to have:

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Redis Cache, AWS AppSync, and Terraform.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues by digging deep into infrastructure and code.

Responsibilities:

• The Ops engineer partners closely with Engineering and Support. We are responsible for the deployment, and continuous operation of the client platform. 
• You will make sure we automate as many tasks as possible to make diagnostics, scaling, healing and deployments a breeze. 
• You will work on a team responsible for a blend of architecture, automation, development, and application administration. 
• You will develop and deploy solutions from the infrastructure to the network, and application layers, on public cloud platforms. 
• You will ensure our SaaS platform is available and performing, and that we can notice problems before our customers. 
• You will collaborate with Support and Engineering on customer issues, as needed. 
• Working with distributed data infrastructure, including containerization and virtualization tools, to enable unified engineering and production environments. 
• Developing dashboards, monitors, and alerts to increase situational awareness of the state of our production issues/sla/security incidents. 
• Independently conceiving and implementing ways to improve development efficiency, code reliability, and test fidelity. 
• You will participate in a periodic on-call rotation. 
• Ability to closely work with the on-prem and cloud infrastructure, networking, and development teams to ensure timely deliverables.

Education:

·      Minimum of 15 years of formal education – BE/BTech or Graduate / Postgraduate in Computer Science / Information Technology
