Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Design Engineer, located in Bengaluru. The Lead Design Engineer will be responsible for overseeing design engineering projects, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) tools, engaging in mechanical and electrical engineering tasks, and leading product design initiatives. The individual will be expected to collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Qualifications

·      Strong Knowledge in Mechanical Systems & Electro mechanical LRU Product Development

·       Experience in Coordinating, Reviewing and Conducting mechanical Design, Analysis, Qualification and Acceptance tests for Airborne products

·       Experience in New Product Development, Reverse Engineering and hand calculations.

• Experience with computational fluid dynamics tools, including Ansys Icepack, Flotherm XT & SolidWorks Flow simulation
• Expert in FEA tools like Ansys-Workbench for Static and Fatigue analyses.
• Experience with Machining, Plastic, Sheet metal, Die Casting & Aluminum Extrusions.
• Experience in 3D Scan & Proto typing method like SLA, FDM & Soft Mold process.
• Experience with GD&T, DFMEA, FMEA, APQP & Tolerance Stack up Analysis
• Strong Knowledge in Fixture Design, Welding Fixtures, Injection mold design & 2k Mold design.
• Proficient in Static, Modal, Random vibration, Shock response, weight optimization, fatigue, impact

analysis using Ansys.

• PCBA Board Outline, Connector feasibility, EMI/EMC & RF Shielding Concept & system design.
• Document preparation for Critical PDR & CDR as per System Specification requirement.
• Exposure to standard like MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160, D6 and ABD Standards.
• Door and Configuration management tool like SVN.
• System wiring diagram and Cable harness design.

·       Co-ordinate with Bid Management team for Costing and Proposal submission.

• Vendor Development and Management.
• Good coordination, leadership and excellent communication skills.
