The Role

As our Databricks Architect, you’ll be the driving force behind designing and implementing modern data architectures and AI solutions. You’ll work closely with clients, internal teams, and strategic partners to shape and deliver innovative solutions that tackle complex data challenges. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic client engagement across diverse, high-impact projects.

Your Objectives

• Own the technical design and execution of data and AI solutions, ensuring they meet and exceed client needs.
• Guide clients from initial use-case discovery through successful implementation and adoption of platforms like Databricks.
• Create strategic roadmaps that prioritize scalability, cost-efficiency, and top-tier performance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships—including with executive stakeholders—to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Establish technical standards, best practices, and processes for repeatable, high-quality deliveries.
• Enable and onboard client teams to fully leverage the solutions you deliver.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—engineers, data scientists, and partners—to ensure timely, successful project outcomes.
• Mentor new hires, contribute to hiring strategies, and help enhance our overall capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design sessions and workshops to translate business goals into robust technical solutions.
• Provide thought leadership in data platforms, machine learning, and cloud technologies.
• Proactively address technical hurdles and escalate to subject-matter experts or partners when needed.
• Identify optimization opportunities—including cost, performance, and new feature adoption—to continuously improve client solutions.
• Oversee project reporting on health, risks, and technical metrics, keeping clients and internal teams aligned.

What You'll Know

• 7+ years in technical delivery roles within data and AI, with full accountability for end-to-end solutions.
• Proven expertise in Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala, with a deep understanding of distributed data systems.
• A track record of success in client-facing roles—pre-sales, solution design, consulting delivery—and the skill to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience handling technical escalations, resolving complex challenges, and delivering tangible business outcomes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks, MLOps practices, and data engineering pipelines.
• Knowledge of strategic account management and client success planning.
• Experience with technical program or project management, including resource coordination and stakeholder management.
