Responsibilities

• Maintain existing MySQL environments, including large replication environments for data mining and mid-sized high-availability environments.
• Develop and optimise database design for new applications.
• Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems' availability and scalability.
• Suggest tools and processes for the identification and management of database infrastructure components.
  
  

Requirements

• Knowledge of the installation method of MYSQL and also significant general system administration skills on UNIX/HP, Linux, and AWS Linux.
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server Connectivity, and Database Consistency Checks using different Utilities.
• Must have Experience with AWS RDS, AWS backup, Replication, and snapshot.
• Experience working with the AWS Console is a plus.
• Good team player with strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
