GeBBS Consulting, a leader in Healthcare Technology solutions, has an immediate opening for a Lead Data Scientist to support a major healthcare partner in the Reston, VA area in a remote capacity.

Position Description:

The Lead Data Scientist will identify and solve business problems by using various numerical techniques, algorithms, and models in statistical modeling, machine learning, operations research, and data mining. They use advanced analytical capabilities to support data science initiatives. The Data Scientist communicates across product teams and with customers and educates on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistical models. They will also act as a liaison and interface between analytics, business units and other departments as needed to ensure maximum efficiency in tasks and responsibilities.

What You’ll Get to Do:

• Lead data mining and extraction activities and applies algorithms to derive insights.
• Use data to understand the data profile and its limitations and applies it to business solutions.
• Collaborate with business units to innovate organizational performance.
• Explore data patterns using existing data science tools.
• Translate business priorities to data science deliverables.
• Implement new data products and build robust and scalable software.
• Lead/Guide implementation of best practices for projects and applies artificial intelligence techniques to achieve concrete business goals while managing limited resources and constraints around data.

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 8 years of relevant work experience (in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience).
• Ability to work independently without detailed guidance.
• Ability to communicate effectively and document objectives and procedures.
• Ability to leverage a variety of data science tools and frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge in model evaluation, tuning and performance, operationalization, and scalability of scientific techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in statistical modeling applications.
• Advanced Proficiency in advanced SQL in multiple syntaxes.
• Prior experience working on Cloud Technologies, preferably AWS & SageMaker.
