Our Edge CSB Bank RuPay credit card is getting a lot of love for it’s head-turning transparent design, not to mention it being a rewarding experience. Our No-Penalty SIP and Daily SIP at Rs 10/- has helped scale our investments business and we have over 100,000 users investing on our platform to fulfill their money aspirations.

Role overview:

As Applied Science’s Lead, you’ll spearhead our AI/ML strategy and vision and will be responsible for architecting and developing sophisticated models that will form the backbone of our core financial products, driving innovation and enhancing customer experience. You will be a hands-on leader, guiding and mentoring a team of talented scientists, while also fostering close collaboration with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, and business to align AIML initiatives with overarching company objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and leveraging data-driven insights that will optimize our product offerings, inform strategic business decisions, and ultimately propel our company's growth in the competitive financial services landscape.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Build and deploy production-quality AIML models for data-driven insights and personalized financial recommendations
• Lead and mentor a team of scientists, fostering innovation and maintaining high standards
• Develop the roadmap aligned with business objectives and market opportunities
• Translate business problems into AI solutions that deliver measurable ROI
• Partner with product and engineering teams to integrate models into our technology stack
• Communicate complex analyses and model outputs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Evaluate and implement appropriate AI technologies based on business needs, not hype

What is needed for this role :

• 8+ years of experience in AI/ML
• Strong background in modern AI stack (TensorFlow/PyTorch, cloud ML platforms, MLOps tools)
• Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML to solve real-world problems with quantifiable business impact
• Proven ability to view AI as a means to achieve business outcomes rather than technology for its own sake
• Deep knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques like deep learning, NLP, and time series forecasting
• Successful track record leading cross-functional AI projects from conception to production
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or related domains will be an advantage
