We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer at HangiKredi, which is Turkey's leading platform in the banking products comparison and application category since 2006, constantly renewing itself with its dynamic and financial assistant vision, visited by three out of every four people who conduct online loan research every year.

QUALIFICATION

• Proven track record in creating scalable data architectures with 8+ years of experience in data engineering
• Hands on experience in advanced SQL, spark, API development in Python, Airflow and Kafka is must
• Exceptional SQL skills with expertise in data querying, optimization, and management
• Advanced Python programming skills with experience in developing efficient data pipelines
• Strong ETL proficiency with hands-on experience in designing, building, and managing end-to-end ETL processes
• Practical experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks
• Proficiency in Kafka or other streaming platforms, with a strong understanding of real-time data processing
• Familiarity with scheduling tools like Airflow for orchestrating ETL workflows and data pipelines
• Experience with object storage solutions like Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or MinIO
• Solid understanding of data lineage, cataloging, and metadata management to improve data traceability and governance
• Knowledge of open-source tools and frameworks is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets
• Proven leadership skills in mentoring teams, promoting best practices, and ensuring technical excellence

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement scalable and secure big data architectures to meet business requirements
• Lead the development and optimization of robust, reliable, and efficient ETL pipelines
• Design and manage data streaming solutions using Kafka or similar technologies
• Establish and maintain data lineage and governance processes to ensure data integrity and traceability
• Oversee the integration and utilization of scheduling tools like Airflow for automated workflows
• Evaluate and adopt open-source and cloud-based solutions to improve the data engineering environment
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to align initiatives with organizational goals
• Continuously optimize database and pipeline performance to ensure scalability and efficiency
• Mentor and guide the technical growth of data engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in data engineering
