Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

About the Role: 

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer with 7–10 years of experience in Data 

Engineering to lead our team of data professionals. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in 

AWS, Python, Scala, SQL, and ETL pipelines, and will be responsible for designing, building, and 

maintaining scalable and robust data solutions that empower business insights and decision

making. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the design and development of scalable data pipelines and architectures. 

• Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, ensuring efficient delivery of data solutions. 

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand 

data needs and translate them into technical solutions. 

• Implement best practices in data engineering, including data quality, data governance, and 

performance optimization. 

• Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows using modern tools and frameworks. 

• Work extensively with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, EMR) for data 

storage, processing, and orchestration. 

• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in Python and Scala. 

• Optimize SQL queries and manage data warehousing solutions. 

• Ensure data security, compliance, and privacy standards are met. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

• Expert-level coding skills in Python and Scala. 

• 7–10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and leading data teams. 

• Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services for data management and analytics. 

• Advanced knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and query optimization. 

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines. 

• Familiarity with modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar is a plus. 

• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset. 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
