About The Position

The Data & AI team at Copart is at the forefront of leveraging data, analytics, and AI/ML to drive business transformation and value creation. We're seeking a Sr. to Lead Data Analytics Engineer to join our innovative team, working cross-functionally with business stakeholders to develop cutting-edge data solutions throughout the organization. In this role, you'll empower data consumers, executives, and analysts with actionable insights derived from our vast data ecosystem, directly influencing strategic decision-making across Copart.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for collecting, processing, and analyzing large and complex datasets from diverse sources using GCP/BigQuery and other data sources
• Lead the architecture and implementation of advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions, including anomaly detection, data exploration using natural language and conversational analytics, and automated insight generation
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions and opportunities for innovation
• Develop and deploy interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics tools that enable data exploration and self-service analytics across the organization
• Implement AI-powered insight generation systems that proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within business operations
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership on best practices for data modeling, analytics, and machine learning implementations
• Balance multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-grade data and analytics solutions
• Proven expertise in statistical analysis, time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling techniques
• Strong proficiency in Advance SQL and Python with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning libraries
• Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery and Vertex AI for analytics and model deployment
• Minimum 4 years of experience creating interactive dashboards and reports using modern BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or Power BI)
• Experience implementing and deploying machine learning models for business applications, particularly in anomaly detection, predictive analytics, or natural language processing
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for deploying and monitoring machine learning models in production
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
