The Lead Cloud Engineer is the top technical role in our department, responsible for managing all aspects of our Azure-based cloud infrastructure. This includes overseeing system architecture, performance and availability monitoring, cost optimization, and security. The role requires both strategic technical leadership and hands-on skills. As the technical lead for cloud services, this position is critical to maintaining the health and supporting the growth of our organization's cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure.
* Lead infrastructure planning, modernization, and migration initiatives for cloud services.
* Monitor system performance and proactively ensure high availability and performance.
* Analyze and optimize cloud usage costs, implementing cost-saving measures where appropriate.
* Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and data protection.
* Mentor and guide engineering team members, leading by example to promote technical excellence.
Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, software engineering, or roles with progressively increasing responsibility.
* Experience working for a Software-as-a-Service company.
* Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform, with a deep understanding of idempotent deployments.
* Skilled in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., PowerShell, Python, C#) for automation and tooling.
* Experience implementing robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies to ensure system health and uptime.
* Proven technical leadership abilities and a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
* Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104 Azure Administrator, AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect) or equivalent.
* Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for container orchestration and management.
* Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other public cloud providers.

Salary:- $160,000 - $180,000 base plus 15% - 20% bonus
