Lead Civil, Structure and Architecture Engineer (CSA)

Summary Of Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) Director, the CSA Chief will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers in the planning and execution of civil engineering works for local and international mining projects. His time will be divided between design and project coordination. More specifically, the CSA Chief will :

• Lead and supervise the civil engineering team in the design and delivery of mining projects.
• Plan, organize and manage engineering and construction projects, including the development of schedules and budgets.
• Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for projects.
• Coordinate activities with other technical disciplines and external partners.
• Ensure that projects meet quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential problems.
• Prepare and present progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Provide mentoring and technical support to team members.
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Experience in heavy industry and/or the mining sector.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex projects.
• Project management skills, including planning, cost control and resource management.
• Experience in the preparation and design of concrete and steel structural drawings.
• Proficient with design and project management software (REVIT, AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).
• Be able to communicate in French and/or English.
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (O.I.Q.) or licensed as a professional engineer in any other province in Canada.
