Lead C++ Engineer (low latency) | Front Office | £300k TC

A leading hedge fund is hiring into a high-impact front-office team operating as a separate capital unit, think startup culture within a top-performing firm.

This team is building a brand-new automated trading architecture focused on ultra-low latency execution across futures, options, and rates markets. It’s a deeply technical environment where you’ll work side-by-side with the trader and lead a strong team of experienced engineers.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the design and build of low-latency trading systems
• Managing a team of 4 engineers while staying hands-on
• Working directly with the business to drive outcomes (commercial side handled separately)
• Building in C++ with a focus on performance, concurrency & parallelism

Tech stack

C++ (core), Python/Bash for scripting, low-latency/high-performance development
