Summary

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Master's degree (as evidenced by an attached resume) in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field. Five (5) years of full-time experience in biostatistics or a related role. Supervisory experience. Experience in designing and analyzing clinical trials and/or research studies. Experience working with statistical software such as SAS, R, or Python. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in aging, dementia or a related research field. Experience working with regulatory requirements for clinical trials (e.g., FDA, EMA). Brief description of duties: The Lead Biostatistician will oversee the design, implementation, and interpretation of statistical analyses for research and clinical trials. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including researchers, clinicians, and data scientists, to ensure that statistical methodologies are applied accurately and effectively. The Lead Biostatistician will also mentor junior statisticians and provide strategic input into research planning and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have the following; strong knowledge of statistical theory and methodologies, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong communication and presentation skills and experience in mentoring and training junior staff. Duties: Statistical Analysis & Design: * Design and implement statistical analysis plans for clinical trials, research studies, and other projects. * Apply advanced statistical methods to analyze complex data sets and interpret results. * Develop and validate statistical models to support research objectives. Project Management: * Lead and manage statistical projects from initiation through to completion. * Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met. * Monitor project timelines and ensure the delivery of high-quality results. Collaboration & Communication: * Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide statistical guidance. * Present statistical findings and insights to non-statistical audiences in a clear and concise manner. * Review and provide feedback on statistical analysis plans and reports. Mentorship & Training: * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior statisticians and other team members. * Conduct training sessions on statistical methodologies and software tools as needed. Quality Assurance: * Ensure the accuracy and reliability of statistical analyses and data reporting. * Develop and maintain documentation related to statistical methods and processes. * Stay up-to-date with advancements in biostatistics and related fields.
