We're looking for a Lead Automation Engineer with expertise in Emerson DeltaV to join a high-impact project on-site in Ireland. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who thrives in regulated, fast-moving environments and enjoys working cross-functionally with automation, digital, and quality teams.

You'll be instrumental in driving automation systems delivery from design through to commissioning, ensuring seamless integration and GMP compliance across a critical manufacturing site.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the technical delivery of DeltaV automation systems across multiple production areas
• Collaborate with vendors, IT/OT teams, and internal stakeholders to meet project timelines and quality standards
• Create and review documentation in line with the software development lifecycle (SDLC): URS, FS/DS, code reviews, test scripts, traceability matrices
• Ensure integration with other systems including MES, OEM platforms, and PI Historian
• Align deliverables with site validation (CSV) requirements and participate in FAT/SAT testing
• Contribute to ongoing project coordination and represent automation in wider team meetings

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field
• 5+ years’ experience delivering automation systems in pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV, including batch configuration
• Familiarity with Siemens PLC/SCADA, OSIsoft PI, PAS-X, or ABB systems is a plus
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and confidence working across teams
• Fluent English; EU work permit or citizenship required
