The role:
Due to continuous growth, we are seeking an experienced Automation Developer to join our talented and friednly team in Melbourne. In this position, you will find yourself responsible for creating, changing, maintaining, enhancing, testing and supporting ServiceNow application developed to technical specifications to meet needs of external or internal customers.
Your Key Responsibilities In The Role
- Problem solving and analysing business requirements such that a technical specification is created
- Maintaining availability and integrity of ServiceNow through regular housekeeping, patching, and enforcing change control
- Development/operations/support of software on the ServiceNow platform, to meet the needs of the business plan. E.g. Customer/Internal Catalog Items, Integrations with Other Systems and Development within the platform
- Completing the implementation testing, verification and post implementation problem resolution of the application created
- Ongoing support and modifications to applications developed as necessary
- Ensuring the application development is done in accordance with best practice software development methodologies and / or the corporate standard practices
- Ensuring proper and clear communication to internal stakeholders on status of work being delivered, impacts, efficiencies, financial considerations etc
- Documenting all aspects of the application development
Key skills and experience required to be successful in the role:
- Strong experience in applying software development best practices to design, build, and maintain scalable solutions that align with business needs
- Solid understanding of modern development methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD, leveraging them to drive efficiency and innovation
- Expertise in Javascript and/or Powershell
- Strong hands-on experience with REST API's
- Intermediate experience with administrating windows environments, both on prem and in Azure
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve high level of understanding of customer’s business, key profitability and other performance drivers
- Experience in holding engagement sessions with internal staff and customers via workshops and strategic IT roadmaps
