About This Role

As MN’s Learning and Development (L&D) Program Manager, you will design, implement, and manage learning initiatives that support employees throughout their journey—from onboarding to ongoing professional development and special initiatives. As a key member of the People & Culture team, you will create impactful programs that drive individual growth, enhance team effectiveness, and support business goals. You have a proven ability to develop and execute scalable learning programs that engage employees at all levels. Both strategic and hands-on, you excel at program design, facilitation, stakeholder collaboration, and measuring the impact of learning initiatives. You are a passionate advocate for employee development and possess a strong understanding of modern learning methodologies.

On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include

  • Designs, develops, and implements comprehensive L&D programs that support employees at all stages of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, role-based learning, and continuous feedback.
  • Leads onboarding learning experiences to ensure new employees are set up for success with engaging and informative learning journeys.
  • Manages special L&D initiatives that align with annual organizational priorities, such as skill and career development programs.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across departments to assess learning needs, design targeted solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Designs and facilitates engagement learning experiences including instructor-led training (ILT), virtual sessions (MS Teams), and blended learning programs.
  • Evaluated program effectiveness and leverages data/feedback to measure impact, drive continuous improvement, and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Stays informed on industry trends, emerging learning technologies, and best practices to continuously evolve L&D offerings.
  • Supports the administration of learning platforms, including LMS management, reporting, and optimizing system functionality.
  • Drives engagement and communication to promote a learning culture through various channels and platforms.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve learning experiences and processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the success of L&D and organizational development initiatives.

On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Education Technology, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in L&D program management and/or instructional design.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-wide learning programs.
  • Facilitation and content development experience, including e-learning and blending learning solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • LMS administration experience required; LMS implementation experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing learning budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Experience with coaching, mentoring, or leadership development is a plus.
  • Experience with emerging learning technologies (e.g., AI, VR, AR) is a plus.
  • Certifications like CPTD are highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of L&D principles, instructional design, and adult learning theories.
  • Experience developing and managing end-to-end learning programs across the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms and digital learning and design tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, SCORM, video editing tools, graphic design).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with teams to align learning initiatives with business needs.
  • Ability to analyze learning data and metrics using insights to drive improvements.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, effectively managing competing priorities.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent use of a computer, including keyboard functions and close-range visual focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to travel to training locations as needed.
  • Ability to present and facilitate for extended periods.

Travel & Vehicle Requirements

  • Occasional travel to training sites may be required.
  • Valid WA State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record and proof of vehicle insurance, may be required depending on training location.

Hours & Compensation

This is a full-time position paying $99,855 – $149,700. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual, skills, and organizational performance.
