Job Description: The candidate will perform layout design for an advanced technology test chip. The candidate will Client out custom ring oscillators and other macros using standard cells and full-custom transistor-level layout. The candidate should be familiar with the Cadence Virtuoso and Calibre DRC/LVS/ERC/Perc tool sets and should be capable of independently floorplanning and debugging DRC/LVS issues in the layout. Ideally the candidate will be familiar with creating LEF abstracts from Virtuoso and will preferably have some experience with small scripts for modifying text files. Experienced mask layout designer to fulfill cell level and block level roles working on custom memory (SRAM) designs. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * The applicant will be responsible for completing mask design layout tasks for custom memory circuits (SRAM) in a leading-edge, FINFET process. * Responsibilities include floorplan, placement, routing, verification and release of layout database. * Provide accurate schedule and plan to meet project milestones deadlines. * Debug complex verification issues. * Use the Cadence Virtuoso toolset and ICManage library system to create designs. * Create layout in such a way that schematic/layout connectivity probing is maintained at every level. * Follow team standards for hierarchy, template, structure, pins, floorplan, track plan and other layout characteristics. * Work directly with circuit engineers for design planning and optimization. Required Competencies: * Virtuoso Layout capture * Calibre physical verification tools (LVS, DRC) * Familiarity with SRAM block construction * UNIX * Cadence Virtuoso * Calibre physical verification tools Additional Competencies: * Ability to write SKILL code is a plus, but is not required. Minimum Qualifications: * At least 10 years industry experience * Must have FINFET technology experience * Must have custom memory layout experience Physical Requirements: * Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to mile. * Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs. * Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting). * Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day. * Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
