Astrion LLC is seeking a seasoned Launch Integration Specialist (LIS), Level III to support the new Twilight contract for the Office of Space Launch (OSL) Astrion provides launch services support the NRO/IC launch responsibilities within OSL. Support services span all launch related disciplines within this portfolio. Services include support of OSL launch planning, manifesting of NRO assets; serving as the focal point for NRO space launch systems planning, acquisition, integration, and operations; serving as the NRO focal point to represent the integrated Intelligence Community launch priorities; and serving as the Mission Director for NRO program launches. As a senior technical authority in space vehicle (SV) and launch vehicle (LV) integration, you will drive mission success by leading end-to-end launch support and strategic planning efforts. This role is ideal for a professional with a deep understanding of launch systems, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for mission assurance in the rapidly evolving space domain. Key Responsibilities Lead cradle-to-grave launch integration for national security space missions-including SV/LV interface verification, ground operations, fueling, and Day-of-Launch execution Deliver mission briefings and technical assessments to senior government and military leadership with clarity, precision, and confidence Coordinate across government agencies and mission partners to align launch readiness and mitigate risks Provide strategic planning and risk assessments that influence decision-making and optimize mission outcomes Mentor and guide Level I and II LIS personnel, fostering a high-performance, mission-focused culture Ensure cross-program integration, bringing systems-level insight and collaboration across multiple mission teams What You Bring Demonstrated leadership in SV/LV mission integration across all mission phases (mechanical, electrical, mission analysis, environments, transportation, launch readiness) Proven ability to develop risk management strategies and advise program managers on mitigation approaches Extensive experience with national security launch systems, with a strong preference for NRO SV/LV mission integration expertise Ability to communicate technical concepts to audiences of all levels, including senior Government leadership A collaborative mindset and a history of building effective interagency relationships Required Qualifications Meets or exceeds all Level II LIS qualifications, plus: General Level III (G3) certification or equivalent (Technical Level III (T3) highly desired) Extensive hands-on experience in SV/LV mission integration planning and execution Deep technical knowledge of launch operations, ground systems, and SV processing Ability to lead and manage high-visibility integration efforts under tight schedules Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with NRO space vehicle programs Experience integrating multiple mission teams across diverse launch programs Familiarity with national space policy, security protocols, and resiliency standards Why Astrion?
