Womble Bond Dickinson is seeking an Integration Manager to oversee the integration of new hires, collaborating with leadership to develop and execute strategic integration strategies. This role involves leading the integration program and facilitates relationship-building within the Firm. Responsibilities include designing partner education programs, maintaining ongoing communications, researching market trends, adhering to budgets, improving operational efficiency, developing staff, and traveling to various firm offices as needed.
Duties And Responsibilities
Collaborate with leadership, including the Senior Director, Legal Development, Integration & Tech Training and administrative departments, to manage and execute integration strategies for new lateral hires
Develop and coordinate support strategies based on the strategic opportunities for each incoming lateral partner in concert with the relevant Practice Group Leaders
Ensure seamless transition and onboarding by working closely with Recruiting and local administration
Serve as liaison with Business Development, Marketing, and Communications teams for integration-related activities that support the attorney’s brand and business plan efforts
Act as the internal point of contact for new lateral hires, coordinating necessary resources across multiple administrative teams
Facilitate connection opportunities across the Firm to support lateral hires in building relationships
Plan for day-one readiness and book of business transition plans for each new lateral partner
Track integration progress against lateral and team business plans and identify ways to maximize success; review data with lateral partner and report on progress to leadership
Manage the partner experience in the firm’s two-year integration program
Serve as a counselor and coach for new partners within the Firm’s support structure
Design and implement partner education programs and orientations
Provide ongoing communications to new partners and stakeholders
Research and analyze trends related to lateral partner activity in the market
Adhere to budgets and improve efficiency by streamlining operations
Travel to various firm offices as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion, ensuring strict confidentiality by adhering to all privacy policies, legal requirements, and organizational standards
Effectively manage time while maintaining a strong sense of urgency, demonstrating the ability to execute tasks efficiently within a short timeframe when needed
The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and speaking so others will understand
Exhibits proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Managing one's own time and the time of others
Developing constructive and cooperative relationships with clients and maintaining them over time
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and programs
Demonstrate strong teamwork skills by collaborating effectively with colleagues, contributing to group objectives, and communicating openly to achieve shared goals in a supportive and productive environment
Budgeting for and managing expenses related to integration efforts in conjunction with the team and practice group leadership
This position requires at least 25% travel
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or human resources or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years recruiting or client development experience preferably in a law firm or other professional service firm.
Background in project management or operations with Project Management Certification (PMP) helpful.
The national average salary range for this role is $87,000 - $129,000. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications and experience.
