SLR is seeking creative, motivated and team-oriented Landscape Architects/Project Managers to join our Landscape Architecture team in one of our busy office locations, below:
- Boston, Massachusetts
- New Haven, Connecticut
- Team members may also experience, and possibly work, from one of our other US office locations.
In this role you will collaborate with clients, project teams, and contractors in a fast-paced office environment. We are looking for self-motivated Landscape Architects that work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams as well as independently to bring artistry, technicality, thoughtfulness, and innovation to the design process from vision to construction.
Our project work includes urban planning and design, municipal parks, ecological restoration and environmental enhancements, athletic facilities, open space planning, active transportation, greenways, streetscape improvements, educational campus design, corporate and large-scale residential communities, and graphic visualization work.
Job Description
We are SLR Consulting (US), a 500+ coast-to-coast team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. We are Making Sustainability Happen.
As our new Landscape Architect/Project Manager, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.

- The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $125,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative design concepts and technical documents for a wide variety of project types through all project stages from visioning to implementation
- Contract pursuit and development including public bidding and interviews
- Contract management including staff hours, budget, and deliverables
- Oversee and perform field investigations and analysis
- Collaborate and strategize for the growth of the Landscape Architecture group
Qualifications/Education/Memberships:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university in Landscape Architecture
- 5+ years professional experience in the field of landscape architecture
- Licensure preferred but not required
- Creative problem solving and technical design skills
- Experience leading project teams of varying sizes to produce documents for complex projects
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability while working in a collaborative environment
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion and/or Rhinoceros, Land F/X, and MS Office
- Strong proficiency in hand sketching, concept development, grading, and construction detailing for a wide variety of projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including written work
- Ability to travel as needed for the position
