We are currently seeking a full-time Land Surveyor - Project Manager to join our exceptional team at our Kresgeville or Bethlehem office. The right candidate will lead surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring precision, compliance, and client satisfaction, with support from our experienced survey department and administrative staff.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage land surveying projects from proposal through final delivery.
  • Coordinate project requirements, schedules, and updates with clients, contractors, and co-workers.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
  • Supervise field crews to ensure accurate data collection and adherence to best practices.
  • Analyze and review survey data, reports, and maps for accuracy and compliance with Pennsylvania regulations.
  • Conduct quality control reviews to ensure projects meet all legal and technical standards.
  • Mentor and support team members, promoting professional development and teamwork.
  • Conduct boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys.
  • Operate surveying instruments including GPS units, total stations, levels, and data collectors.
  • Prepare and review survey maps, plats, legal descriptions, and CAD drawings.
  • Perform staking for property boundaries, construction sites, and other project requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred).
  • Minimum two (2) years of land surveying field experience and two (2) years of project management experience.
  • Proficiency in operating surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, levels).
  • Solid understanding of land surveying principles, boundary and topographic surveying, and construction methods.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze survey data, maps, legal descriptions, and record documents.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on excellent client service.
  • General knowledge of Pennsylvania surveying laws and regulations.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites within the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.

Additional Information

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with Carlson Software is a plus.
    • Membership in the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors (PSLS) is preferred.
