Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months (with possibility of extension)

Pay Rate: $50–$53/hr on W2

About the Role:

• We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician V to support a high-performing reliability and failure analysis team working on cutting-edge consumer electronics. This role focuses on advancing AR/VR hardware development through rigorous testing, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll work on complex failure analysis, contribute to product reliability, and help develop new technologies that push the limits of innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize imaging techniques (2D x-ray, x-ray tomography, optical microscopy) for failure root-cause analysis.
• Support failure analysis projects through hands-on testing and tool usage.
• Conduct and maintain sample preparation for various imaging and analysis methods.
• Ensure lab cleanliness, manage sample inventory, and follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Analyze material properties and performance to identify failure mechanisms and present solutions.
• Interface with cross-functional engineering and product teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Science or a related Technical Engineering field.
• 2+ years of experience using imaging techniques in a consumer electronics or hardware-focused lab.
• Proficiency in 2D x-ray, tomography, and optical microscopy.
• Experience with lab-based sample preparation methods.
• Strong communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and lab management experience.
